The tools are easily accessible for users of any experience level (i.e., you don't need to be an expert in 3D design to know how to use it). ![]() ![]() Not only can you use brushes, shapes, text, and effects to create unique 2D art, but you can also build 3D objects. If you're planning to use the result in a video editing or compositing program, make sure you set the export frame rate to match your final project so your animation plays at the right speed. Paint 3D is a free program from Microsoft that includes both basic and advanced art tools. You can export all frames, or pick a specific series. In Frame Export, select which frames you want to export. I haven't covered 2D cameras yet, but if your animation uses one, make sure that box is checked. Pick the width and height for your exported image sequence. In Size Settings, choose which part of the image you want to be exported (typically just the Output frame). PNG is ideal as it retains a relatively small file size while still giving you full color, and it supports transparency. Step 1: Right-click on one of the images you want to merge and open with Paint 3D Step 2: Click the three-dot menu icon when the image opens in Paint 3D and select Canvas options. You can export as PNG, BMP, JPEG, Targa, or TIFF. The text can be formatted using the font style, size, color, and alignment tools. In Advanced Settings, choose the image type.
